22 March 2020 Teesside, UK

You and your loved ones may be stuck in this weekend, but the remarkable adaptability from these loved Teesside restaurants means you can still treat your one and only mum, this Mother's Day.

Chances are, whatever plans you had for this Mothering Sunday have been thrown up in the air, thanks to something we may reference but will not care to mention within the confines of this article.

However, just because you can't go and dine with them, it does not mean some of Teessides' best loved restaurants can't come to you.

Therefore, to help you decide on how to treat your Mother this Sunday we, as keen local business champions, have found five independent Teesside restaurants, who are now offering top quality food for collection or home delivery, including this Mother's Day.

But before we go into this, we must stress;
  • The information provided is based on each establishments social media posts.
  • All orders and enquiries about the services highlighted, including delivery radius (where available), should be directly to the individual restaurants themselves.
  • We would advise to place your orders early to avoid disappointment, for no doubt each of these restaurants offers will prove very popular indeed.

Baker Street Kitchen, Central Middlesbrough

Helping to solve the mystery of what to do this Mother's Day when all restaurants have been told to close is Baker Street Kitchen.

With the option to choose between a cooked breakfast or Sunday roast for collection or home delivery, this should prove a decision that is far from elementary... unless you choose to do breakfast in the morning and the dinner later on?

Back at 9am tomorrow morning, to pre-order Baker Street Kitchen ask you to drop them a message via their Facebook page or you can call on  01642 210 404.

The Purple Peacock, Yarm (Contact directly for details on delivery status)

Our final suggestion for this coming Mother's Day is something altogether more refined courtesy of The Purple Peacock.

Clearly well stocked up on bread, the Yarm based restaurant is offering to lay on afternoon tea complete with a selection of finger sandwiches, fruit scones, and sweet treats.

There's also the option of adding a bottle of Prosecco to your order to make it extra special.
